World Hindi Day

In many states of India, Hindi is recognized as an official language. The Hindi language, derived from the Devanagari script, represents Indian culture and heritage. It is spoken as a primary language in many countries around the world.


The first-ever World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur on January 10, 1970. In remembrance of this event, January 10 is celebrated as World Hindi Day. The day was officially observed for the first time on January 10, 2010.

There are around 420 million Hindi speakers across the globe.Hindi is also considered a scientific language and is a strong symbol of Indian culture.
