A rubber ducky is a toy duck made from rubber. Rubber was invented in the 1800s. In the days that followed, various animal-shaped toys, including ducks, began to be made from rubber.

Among all those, the rubber ducky became the most beloved toy across the world. Later, due to a shortage of rubber, rubber duckies began to be made from plastic as well. Even today, the rubber ducky remains one of the most popular toys globally.

Historians say that stickers were first used by European merchants. In the 1880s, European traders started sticking labels on their goods to introduce and promote them to customers.

Eventually, many entrepreneurs began to use stickers for business promotion. Later, postage stamps also started using the sticker-like adhesive format.

The person who first introduced peelable and re-stickable stickers to the world was R. Stanton Avery. In memory of his birthday, this day is celebrated as National Sticker Day.
