Republic Day is one of the most important national festivals of India. On January 26, 1950, the Constitution of India came into force. On that day, British rule officially ended, and India began to govern itself independently.
In remembrance of that historic day, Republic Day is celebrated every year on January 26 across the country. On Republic Day, a grand parade is held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, which includes military processions, cultural performances, and displays of defense equipment.
